City of Perth Triathlon – State Olympic Distance Championship                           

Welcome to Race 3 of the TriEvents TriSeries, the City of Perth Triathlon, the premier Olympic Distance Triathlon on the Triathlon WA Calendar of events. The City of Perth Triathlon is the State Triathlon Championship for Age Group and Elite Competitors.

Event Location: Langley Park, Perth

Parking: Parking is available in the City of Perth Car park on the corner of Governors Avenue and Victoria Avenue. There is also street parking available along Terrace Rd. At no time is parking permitted on Langley Park.

Course Information:

Swim:
Both the swims commence 100 metres west of the of the Riverside Drive and Victoria Avenue intersection.

Enticer 250 metres – deep water start - swim 150m east, turn left at a buoy, swim 25m to a buoy, turn left, swim 50 metres, turn right and swim 25 metres to the swim exit steps.

Olympic Distance: deep water start – swim 850m east, turn left at a buoy, swim 25m to a buoy, turn left, swim 600m, turn right at a buoy and swim 25 metres to the swim exit steps. 

Ride:
Starting at Victoria Avenue, turn right into Riverside Drive and head in a westerly direction past the Bell Tower and merge left into Mounts Bay Rd. Follow Mounts Bay Rd around to the UWA Turnaround at the Blue Boat Shed. Head back along Mounts Bay Rd through the Point Lewis Roundabout and into Riverside Drive and continue back to Victoria Ave to complete the lap. The course is 10km per lap. Enticer competitor complete 1 lap, U/16 Juniors complete two laps, and Olympic Distance competitors complete 4 laps.

Run:
Enticer (2km) & U/16 Junior (4km): Exit transition onto Riverside Drive, turn left to head towards the Causeway, continue to a turnaround point 120m past Plain St and turn 180° and head back towards the Victoria Ave, enter the finish chute to complete the event. Enticer athletes complete 1 lap, U/16 Championship Competitors complete 2 laps.

Pursuit Olympic Distance (10km) The course consists of 3 3.33km laps, the course is “M” shaped. Exit transition onto Riverside Drive in the south carriageways, head east to a turnaround point at the entrance to the causeway car park, turn 180° and head back to the Plain St intersection, turn 180° and head back the causeway car park and turn 180° and head back to Victoria Ave. Once you’ve complete three laps enter the finish chute to finish the event.
