Course Rundown
The Rockingham venue is a 45 minute drive from Perth, south along the Kwinana Freeway. Exit at Safety Bay Rd, turn right into Ennis Ave, then left into Patterson Rd, right into Flinders Rd, right into Kent and left into Wanliss St.

Swim:
The swim is along the beach front at Rockingham Beach. Water is usually flat and calm, free of waves or much surface chop. The two starts are located left of the transition area (looking out to the ocean).
All starts are beach starts and competitors will be required to assemble in the designated start area in their correct age group category start (wave start).

The waves will be available in the event news on the website in the week prior to the event and will be displayed on the day.

The swim course is a square U shape heading straight out to sea before making a 90° right hand turn and swim parallel with the beach. There is then a second 90° right turn and swim to the beach.
Wetsuits: The use of wetsuits is determined by the water temperature which is measured by the Race Referee on the morning of the race. An announcement on water temperature and wetsuits will be made at the event briefing.

Bike:

The City of Rockingham bike course can only be described as “Flat n Fast”.

The two lap course commences at the transition area at the corner of Rockingham Beach Rd and Wanliss St. Competitors head north (left) towards the grain silo’s on Rockingham Beach Road and turn around just short of Kwinana Beach Rd. The course is an out and back.

Enticer competitors complete one lap for their 10km’s and Pursuit competitors complete two laps.

Run:

The run course for the City of Rockingham Triathlon is similar in profile to the bike course, flat, and if you’ve still got the energy it can be fast.

The course is along the pathway which runs north and then south for the Pursuit and south for the Enticer from the transition area along the beach front past the café strip and shops.

All participants complete 1 lap of the their relative run.

Parking

There is parking on Rockingham Beach Rd directly in front of the transition area. For everyone's safety, please do not park north of Wanliss St along Rockingham Beach Rd - there is always a large number of participants at Rockingham and cars along here make it very dangerous. There is also ample parking in Wanliss St and along Kent St (one street back from beach parallel to Rockingham Beach Rd).
